Where to Eat & Drink on Amalfi Coast
The Amalfi Coast is known for its beautiful beaches and lovely food. If you’re planning a trip to the area, here are some of the best places to eat and drink including Michelin-starred restaurants.
What’s great about the Amalfi Coast is that there are lots of different places to eat. You can find traditional Italian cuisine, seafood, and pasta dishes, as well as international options like sushi. In this guide, I’ll tell you about some of my favorite restaurants, cafes, and bars in Amalfi Coast including where to eat and drink near Sorrento, Ravello, and Positano.
Best Cafes in Amalfi Coast
For those looking for a pleasant break while exploring the Amalfi coast, or simply wanting to start the day with a coffee, these cafes are perfect.
Café Pasticceria Pansa
One of the most ancient and historical cafés in all of Amalfi, Café Pasticceria Pansa is located in the very heart of Amalfi, underneath the cathedral. It’s a place that everyone should visit at least once during their stay.
The pastries are delicious, but it’s more than just baked goods: they offer an excellent selection of teas and coffees too! When you order a drink here (and we highly recommend trying them all), you will immediately understand why this café has been around so long – because they know how to do things right!
If you’re looking for some good people-watching, this is definitely your spot as well; it’s one of those places where everyone goes after work or school so there’s always something going on there!
Masaniello Art Café
Masaniello Art Café is a small restaurant located in the back of a hotel with an intimate vibe. The best part about this place is its burgers and sandwiches, which are made from fresh ingredients and served with an artistic touch.
Another great thing about this venue is that it has a quaint garden where you can enjoy your cocktail as well as music from local musicians.
Casa e Bottega
Casa e Bottega is one of the best places to eat in Positano, in my opinion. The atmosphere is incredible, and the staff are very welcoming. There are lots of delicious options to choose from, but if you’re vegan/vegetarian like me, I recommend going for a breakfast dish with some fresh fruit on top!
Also worth noting: it’s great for dinner too (lots of fish), but it’s not open during lunchtime.
If you’re looking for somewhere to eat near the beach or town center then this might not be your best option since it’s located just outside of both areas – however, if you have time then definitely check out this place!
Collina Positano Bakery
When you’re in Positano, don’t miss out on Collina Positano Bakery. This cute cafe is the perfect place to stop and refuel after a long day of sightseeing.
The menu offers a good selection of Italian traditional sweets, including amazing cannolis and tiramisu that are made in-house. If you’re looking for something lighter, order one of their delicious croissants or vegan croissants instead!
Located right in the center of town, Collina Positano Bakery is easy to find—just look for the bright blue awning above its doors and windows. Head up the stairs inside until you reach their beautiful terrace with views over Amalfi Coast’s Tyrrhenian Sea coastline.
Best Restaurants in Amalfi Coast
You may want to enjoy a nice dinner while spending your holiday with the magic of the Amalfi Coast. Here is some Michelin starred restaurant that offers elegant views and delicious taste, in Italian cuisine:
La Taverna del Leone
The restaurant is located in the heart of Amalfi Coast and it’s the perfect place to have your romantic dinner. It has a cozy atmosphere and it’s also one of the most popular restaurants in the area, which means that you will probably have some tourists around as well. The staff is really helpful and friendly, so you don’t need to worry about anything when ordering drinks or food.
Like any other Michelin-starred restaurant, La Taverna del Leone boasts its high-quality food such as risotto alla parmigiana (risotto topped with Parmesan cheese), tagliatelle con gamberi e zucchine alle erbe aromatiche (spinach pasta with shrimp and zucchini). Everything sounds delicious!
The restaurant doesn’t accept reservations unless you are celebrating an important event like an engagement or birthday etc., so make sure that you arrive early enough before sitting at one of their tables, especially during summer months or weekends when many people visit this place for lunch/dinner during their holiday season vacations here in Amalfi Coast region.”
Sensi Restaurant Amalfi
Sensi Restaurant is a Michelin-starred restaurant located in the heart of Positano, Italy. It is one of the best restaurants in Italy and one of the best restaurants in Europe.
The restaurant offers amazing views over the Mediterranean sea and has an open kitchen where you can see all food being prepared by your personal chef. Enjoy traditional Italian dishes like risotto or tagliatelle with lobster as well as fresh seafood from their own fish market!
Sensi Restaurant is an absolute must if you are visiting Amalfi Coast!
Glicine Restaurant
Glicine is the place to go if you want fine dining, with spectacular views of the Amalfi Coast and a menu that gives you a taste of authentic cuisine from Campania. The service is impeccable and they have several vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes.
The location is also ideal: perched above Positano’s harbor with sweeping vistas over to Capri, Ischia, and Vesuvius. Make sure you book ahead because it gets busy here!
The food at Glicine isn’t cheap but it’s worth every penny — especially for those who enjoy authentic Italian cuisine (and who doesn’t?). You can expect to pay high prices for main courses like gnocchi with crayfish sauce or risotto al nero di seppia (black cuttlefish risotto). However, their desserts are worth trying too!
La Caravella dal 1959
The Michelin-starred La Caravella dal 1959 offers menus you’ll remember for years to come. The restaurant offers two different options: the more sumptuous 10-course menu and a traditional 5-course tasting menu.
The greeting at the door is friendly, and there’s no hesitation in taking your coat or showing you to your table. All of the staff are very attentive to your needs without being overbearing, which can be hard when they’re trying to get you through a long meal.
The food is excellent and the wine list is wide-ranging with some great options in all price ranges (and sizes).
Zass Restaurant, Positano
The restaurant is located in an old building with a breathtaking view of Positano on one side and Amalfi on the other. The cuisine is Italian and the wine list is outstanding, but what makes this place stand out is its staff. They are all excellent at what they do, which means you will leave feeling satisfied both physically and emotionally.
The price range here is $$, but I would consider it a bargain considering how good everything was!
Rada Ristorante Rooftop
If you are looking for a true fine dining experience in Positano, then Rada Ristorante Rooftop is the place to go. This restaurant offers exquisite dishes and drinks with a wonderful sea view.
The service is excellent and fast.
They have a large wine menu that includes many different types of wines from all over Italy, including my favorite “Cantina di Sorrento”. The food was delicious and very fresh!
I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want to eat amazing Italian cuisine while enjoying the stunning views over Positano Bay.
Next2, Positano
Next2 is a Michelin-starred restaurant located on the second floor of a building on the main street. They have an amazing view of the town and coastline, so you can watch people stroll along while you’re dining.
The decor is modern with shades of gray, white, and silver giving it a very nice atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re in another part of Italy.
We highly recommend the tasting menu which gives you about 4 courses for around 100 euros for two people (and maybe less if there’s just one person). It’s worth every penny!
Belvedere Restaurant, Ravello
One of the best places to eat on the Amalfi Coast is Belvedere Restaurant in Ravello. This Michelin-starred restaurant has an absolutely wonderful evening with stunning views, service, and food.
The quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff made the experience enjoyable and the atmosphere was great.
Best Bars on Amalfi Coast
The Amalfi Coast is known for its delicious Italian food, but what’s the best way to wash it down? A cocktail or two!
Whether you want to have a cocktail after dinner or a short break during your trip to Amalfi, we have listed the bars you can choose from on the Amalfi coast.
Gerry’s pub
Gerry’s is a small restaurant and bar located in the town of Amalfi.
Gerry and his family run this pub. The food is amazing, far better than what you’d get in a standard pub—and the views are spectacular: from ocean vistas to mountain peaks peeking out of fluffy clouds all around you! You’ll want to spend all day drinking outside by the terrace’s fire pit, it’s so quiet and peaceful there.
Cocktail Bar, Amalfi
This is a great place to go for cocktails. The location is central and easy to get to, but it’s a bit of a hike from the main square.
I came here after completing the Pontone route. The service was great, and the food and drinks were good—no issues there! Also, their prices are affordable. They have an extensive list of drinks with lots of options to choose from so you can’t go wrong! If you’re looking for something fancy but still within the budget this would be a perfect choice
Positano Paradise Lounge Bar
Menu: The menu includes a variety of salads, soups, and appetizers. They also offer pizza, pasta dishes, and more.
Drinks: Try the mojito or maybe one of their many cocktails to go along with your meal.
The Positano Paradise Lounge Bar is located right in the center of town. This bar has an extensive list of drinks to choose from as well as food to accompany them if you’re in need of a snack while out exploring this beautiful place!
